Update 4/20/08
In the past couple weeks we have accomplished a lot. We finally have our bot driving and destroying stuff. In total we have 4 or so drive session’s to-date. Our drivers have a good amount of wheel time under their belts. Just the other day we decided we would go destroy an old computer case and a radio over at CBAC. The day started out very intense. Several people weren't in very good moods but that was ok. Our drive day turned into a much needed therapy session of destruction. Here are some photos.

Update 3/9/08
In the past couple weeks we have had many presentations and tours, including representatives from K-State and Hills Pet Food. Our battlebot is very close to being finished. We are still working on programming and cutting weight. Despite this we have powered up the weapon and spun it at full speed. It is awesome and makes a lot of noise. We just can’t wait to destroy stuff. Also, we are having our BBQ to thank our sponsors and mentors on March 13. Smokin’ Joes will be catering so it should be very good.

Update 2/8/08
We are about 95% percent done with our bot. Currently we're working on a belt tension system for our weapon belt, cleaning up the programming, and working on mounting our new wheels.
Both ONW Battlebots teams still need sponsors to help cover travel cost to Miami. We need to raise $10,000 between the two teams to cover airfare and hotel cost. Currently we only have around $1,600.

Update 11/8/07
The team is currently preparing their presentation for open house. In the last couple of weeks we have accomplished a lot. We have cut all our metal and have already dropped it of at Husqvarna to be welded. Also we have gotten all metal pieces that needed bent dropped off at Harnoy. We would like to thank Harnoy, Husqvarna, and M-C Fabrication for all their support.

Updates
The team is currently working on finishing up CAD drawing so we can print it on the school's 3-D printer to create a prototype. We had a good time meeting with the congressman, Dennis Moore, along with all the other engineers. The engineers provided a lot of important input and we got many leads on materials for the robot. At our PDR with Honeywell we learned how much more work we needed to do with the design and it helped us come up with ways to improve upon our current design.
